Krishn says, ‘On the end of this world all
living beings are absorbed into me. I release them into the next
world(kalp)’
Which means there is no new creation. Krishn
tells the lifetime of the world order is of one Kalp. What is it?
There are four cyclic time periods.
They are named SatYug, TretaYug, DwaparYug
and and last is KaliYug. After KaliYug again SatYug and the cycle
repeats.
The time durations are KaliYug 4,32,000 years.
DwaparYug which precedes KaliYug is double of the KaliYug that
is 8,64,000 years.
TretaYug - 12,96,000 years
SatYug -
17,28,000 years.
These four time periods together make it
43,20,000 years. This cycle of four periods is called MahaYug.
71
MahaYug make one Manwantar which is 30,67,20,000 years.
14 such
Manwantar make 1 day of Brahma which is known as one Kalp of
4,29,40,80,000 years.
That is the life of the world order is
more than 4 billion years.
The destruction after 1 Kalp is called
Pralay. (World Destruction) One night of Brahma is again 1 Kalp. By
this measure Brahma lives 100 years. At end of this time period, even
the kingdom of Brahma is destroyed. This is called as MahaPralay
(Total Destruction). After Mahapralay, God alone remain in existence
and everything else remain in micro state inside of God or in the
belly of God.
This makes the life time of the whole universe is 858,408,000,000 which is about 860 billion years.
These time estimates are really huge but
they are nothing compared to infinity. What to talk about human life?
It is very very short and must be utilized properly to overcome death
and sufferings forever by attaining eternal bliss.
